Flexible. Quick changes of direction. Spatial awareness. All dancing skills that we now need to stay on top of Covid-19 protective protocols!
With this new spike of the latest variant, CBC will continue to follow the guidelines set forth by the Illinois Department of Health and CDC.
Our updated policies:
–Each dancer will have their temperature taken with a digital forehead thermometer before entering class. The temperature must be below 100.4 to enter class. Please wait for that temperature reading, or have your dancer text you the results so we can all stay informed and act accordingly.
–Each dancer will be expected to wear a mask during class and apply hand sanitizer before and after dancing.
–Please contact me at director@chicagoballetcenter.org if your child tests positive for Covid-19 or is experiencing symptoms and cannot make it to class.
–If your child tests positive for Covid-19, please provide a negative PCRÂ test result before returning to class.
As a reminder:
–Do not send your dancer to class with a fever, is experiencing Covid-19 symptoms, or has been in close contact with someone with Covid-19 in the past 10 days. (Defined as less than 6 feet apart for greater than 15 minutes.) Only return to class with a negative PCR test or at the end of the CDC-recommended quarantine period.
— Only one person should accompany the dancer to the studio.
I strongly encourage you to have your dancer fully vaccinated if they are eligible for the vaccine. We will continue to practice social distancing and ensure our studio is clean and sanitized each day.
Please contact me with any questions, suggestions or concerns. Thank you for your cooperation and compassion. We will and can dance, learn and gather safely!
Onward!
